Air New Zealand said yesterday that it has been approached by several local investors and institutions interested in buying the 30 percent stake in the airline held by Singapore-based Brierley Investments. The surge in interest comes days after a bid by Australian airline Qantas for 49 percent of Air New Zealand. A controlling block of Air New Zealand shares by law is restricted to New Zealand investors.
