The picture shows that pupils from Xiantao Elementary School of Yubei District in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality settle new birdcages on a campus tree on March 13, 2002.
Students' handmade birdcages along with other kinds of environmental protecting articles and art-ware made from junk are seen everywhere in the school, the only rural school which is nominated for the "Ford Environmental Prize" in 2001 in the country.
