Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, has become the first Chinese city which has data on each urban family programed into its computerized first-aid network.
Currently, if a resident in the city dials the number "120" for emergency treatment, his name, telephone number and where he is calling from will be revealed immediately in the Zhengzhou Emergency Center through the network.
The network now works well with assistance from the global satellite positioning system (GPS) and the city's electronic map.
In the five years since its establishment, the center has dispatched medical staff and ambulances for emergency services over 90,000 times.
In addition, more than 80,000 patients have been treated at the center.
