The Legend of Deng Xiaoping, a new biographical book about the Chinese leader, has been published by Guangdong Provincial People's Publishing House.
The new book was written by Qiu Zhizhuo, who has written three other books on Deng Xiaoping. The new book has 24 chapters in two volumes with 530,000 Chinese characters.
Publishing of the new book won approval of the Party Literature Research Center of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Press and Publication Administration of China.
While recommending the new book, editors say that the new book is vivid and moving, as the writer blends a brand new insight into the Chinese leader with a great number of historical records to help retell the legendary life of Deng Xiaoping.
In the new book, the writer also traced the development of Deng Xiaoping's thoughts and life experiences to study the position and role of Deng's theory of China's socialist modernization, reform and opening-up.
