Mainland actress Xu Jinglei is now working on the second film directed by herself. The movie "Me and Dad", her debut as a director, is expected to be shown in September.
She said right now she is writing the script for her second film, which is also about love, but with a different aspect from her first one.
The 28-year-old pop-idol was first noticed in some TV series and the film "Spicy Love Soup". She built on her success with "Spring Subway" and "I Love You", which were both popular hits in China.
Meanwhile, reports say she will go to Shanghai soon to play a lead role in a film with mainland pop star Lu Yi.
