Actually, the State Council of China announced the public holiday schedule for 2002 just a few days ago on December 16, and the schedule was published on all major Chinese newspapers. Here is it for your reference:
I. New Year holidays: January 1-3
II. Spring Festival holidays: February 12-18
III. Labor Day holidays: May 1-7
IV. National Day holidays: October 1-7
