In the next 5 years, China will train 1,000 poverty relief officers for South-East Asia.
An official from the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development announced the plan at a forum on international poverty relief work in the city of Nanning in southwest China.
He said all developing countries face the task of reducing poverty and should share experiences and skills to achieve their goals in an effective way.
The official revealed China's International Poverty Reduction Center has trained more than 120 poverty relief officers from developing countries since it was established a year ago.
