Project Legal Person: National Stadium Co. Ltd. Established by Beijing State-owned Assets Management Co. Ltd and CITIC Group Federation, the company is mainly responsible for investment, financing, construction, operation and management of the National Stadium; The shareholders of the company consist of Beijing State-owned Assets Management Co. Ltd, which holds 58 percent of shares, and CITIC Group Association, which hold the rest 42 percent, of which 25 percent is foreign investment. It is a Sino-Foreign joint cooperation company approved by the authority.
Project Venues: Locating in the Olympic Green.
Construction Scale: Construction area will be 258,000 square meters.
Construction Schedule: The project started construction at the year-end of 2003, it is planned to complete by the end of 2007.
Project Purpose: Holding opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic Games, track and field events etc.
Utilization after Olympic Games: Undertaking special and important sports events, various routine competitions and non-competition events, a large-scale professional place for the citizens to take part in sports and enjoy sports and cultural recreation. It will be a symbolic sports and recreation building.
Project Progress: The piling construction has been completed.
