This renowned scenic city in the south of Jiangsu Province in east China is hosting an international tourism festival from April 7 through the end of May.
Suzhou is not only famed for its ancient gardens, but also for its scenery featuring villages on waterways. Typical of these is Zhouzhuang, which is already on the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.
Suzhou is also known for its situation convenient to Taihu Lake, a prosperous area with great tourism potential.
