Macao's Health Bureau (HB) Wednesday warned all local pharmacies and the public against selling and purchasing three Hong Kong-made herbal remedies.
A statement issued by the HB said the three products of Bo Ying Dan, Kam Chil San and Hou Tsao San are believed to be "potentially detrimental to health."
Bo Ying Dan, a remedy for pregnant women, and Kam Chil San, for children, have failed to get the importing permits from Macao's health authorities, said the statement.
Hou Tsao San, a paediatric remedy, is allegedly carrying " excessive amount of micro-organisms," which would pose a health hazard for the consumers, it added.
The HB, meanwhile, launched a telephone hotline for complaints and information.
