Survey: 96% Students Don't Want to Get Married in Campus

A survey conducted by five sociology students in Fudan University found that 96 percent of college students would say "NO" to marriage in college.

The five sophomore students questioned 2000 students from 10 universities in two large Chinese cities, Shanghai and Tianjin. They found that only 15 percent of the interviewees say they are supportive to students getting married.

The organizer, Wang Sisi, says that there are so many reports on college students' marriage since the government lifted the ban preventing student marriages. They just want to find out that if Chinese students are really as open to marriage as reports say.

Actually, the result of the survey shows that most students hold very sensible attitudes towards marriage. 60 percent of the respondents say that they would only consider getting married after they find a job and are financially stable.
