The article discusses the results of a recent survey conducted in eastern China's Zhejiang Province that shows a 40-50 percent increase in DNA tests over the last two years.
And, accordingly, more businesses are being developed to profit from the growing interest in the tests.
Many of the new institutions have also set up hotlines, offering tele-consultations for people interested in the service.
This phenomenon is considered a demonstration of the kind of fragile and suspicious relations between some couples.
But even with the test's growing popularity, most institutions are still not authorized to write out authorized certificates of the results.
