Oriental House on the second floor of the Inter-Continental Pudong attempts to merge the Western idea of the buffet with Chinese cuisine.
Fujianese, Cantonese, Sichuanese, Shanghainese and some southeastern dishes can be found on the buffet table.
Rich in special dim sum and slow-fire stewed soup of precious mushrooms and pigeon, turtle, chick or duck, the eatery brings Western methods to a Chinese restaurant. Guests may enjoy appetizers, main courses and desserts in the Chinese style.
Waiters will help you fetch food from the table as you order, and a-la-carte is also available.
At 88 yuan per person, the price is fairly reasonable compared to some other restaurants in five-star hotels.
