Seizing the opportunity of the expansion of economic and trade ties between China and Vietnam, the Liuzhou Railway Bureau of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region actively develops the international through transport market of passengers and cargoes, thus bringing about a good momentum of development in Sino-Vietnam joint railway transportation sees a positive trend of development.
In the first nine months, 5,523 passengers entered and departed from Pingxiang, an increase of nearly half of that over last year's same period; 120,000 tons of goods was transferred to Vietnam from here, tripling that of the same period of last year.
It's reported that the goods exported to Vietnam are mainly motorcycles, agromachinery, rolled steels, tobacco leaves, chemical products etc. Among these goods, the export of rolled steels has increased for 197 percent and industrial machinery 56 percent compared with the same period of last year.
