Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan is expected to reopen in this month, a Foreign Ministry spokesman announced in Beijing on Thursday.
Speaking at a regular news briefing, Sun Yuxi affirmed that China will provide 30 million yuan worth of goods to Afghanistan in order to aid the country's post-war construction.
As a friendly neighbour of Afghanistan, Sun said China has always been paying attention to the war-torn country's reconstruction work.
He also promised that China will continue providing assistance to Afghanistan in the future.
Meanwhile, the spokesman expressed China's "deep worries" on the exchange of fire along the Indian and Pakistani border.
"We hope India and Pakistan can exercise restraint and prevent the tension from further escalation," Sun said.
