Earthquake Jolts Yunnan Prefecture

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Shidian prefecture in western Yunnan Province, Southwest China, in the early morning on Friday.
The epicenter is located at 24.8 degrees north latitude and 99. 1 degrees east longitude, the bureau said earlier Friday morning.
There is no information available about casualties and damage caused by the tremor.
