Adjust font size:

On September 29, Yuanwang V, a high-technology-integrated ship was officially delivered to the China Satellite Maritime Tracking and Controlling Department at Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd. It is a next-generation oceangoing spacecraft tracking, telemetering and control ship independently developed by China. Made with world-class techniques, the ship marks another great step that China has taken in oceangoing spacecraft tracking and control technologies.

With a load displacement of up to 25,000 tons, Yuanwang V is integrated with various kinds of technologies, such as ship-making, navigational meteorology, electronics, mechanics, photics, telecommunications and computing. Resistant to force 12 plus wind, it is seaworthy in every maritime area between 60°N and 60°S.

As a newcomer to the Yuanwang family, Yuanwang V is more advanced in equipment and more elegant in design than its predecessors. In addition, the well-laid-out and fully equipped ship is provides a cozier environment for oceangoing crews. In fact, it has a built in shock and noise reducing techniques and air-conditioning systems that automatically adjusts to ambient air conditions.

In addition, a ship of the same kind as Yuanwang V is now being built at Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd. When it is launched, the ship, together with Yuanwang V will play a major role in enhancing the development of China's aerospace industry.
