Twenty-one people have been killed by Thursday, including the head of a local village, since a landslide occurred on Sunday in a village of central China's Hunan Province, local sources said.
Six others are still missing. And 11 villagers who were injured and hospitalized after the disaster are now out of danger.
Liu Qingdong, the 32-year-old head of Qingshan'ao village in Longhui County who has helped with the evacuation of the village was among the dead.
Local government said that the landslide was caused by an 11-hour rainstorm with precipitation of 273.3 millimeters. Electricity and transportation links have been restored.
