| Traffic Accident Kills 7, Injures 10 in Jilin |

Seven people were killed and ten injured in a traffic accident in northeast China's Jilin Province Wednesday, local police authority said. The tragedy occurred at 7:00 PM when a 42-seat shuttle bus carrying 18 passengers overturned after the driver tried to avoid a tractor at a bend in a road in the county of Liuhe, Tonghua City. The injured were all taken to hospital, and local government officials and police officers are investigating the accident further. (Xinhua News Agency June 22, 2006) |
