Eight people remain missing and only another one has been rescued after a motor vessel with a fullload of sand capsized early Thursday morning while sailing on the Yangtze River section in Zhongxian County of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
The capsize occurred at around 7 AM about 7.5 km from the county seat of Zhongxian.
A rescuing operation and investigation into the cause of the accident is underway by press time.
