Another seven bodies were recovered by Tuesday through four day's search in east China's Fujian province after a landslide pushed the bus off a highway into the Jianxi River, a tributary of Minjiang River.
The accident occurred at 11:20 AM on June 23, when a landslide pushed the bus off No. 205 state highway trunk into the Jianxi River, leaving 23 missing. Only the driver and a passenger escaped from the scene.
Rescuers found seven bodies in the wreck of the bus on June 24.Through four day's search, rescuers found another seven bodies in the downstream of the Jianxi River, about 30 kilometers away from the accident site.
The newly-discovered bodies remain to be identified, the rescuers said, adding that the other 9 passengers were still missing by press time.
The landslide also pushed a van into the river, and the two people inside were rescued in time. Another van bumped a tree at the riverside and the four people inside survived. Uninterrupted rainfall has struck the region for days, resulting in the landslides, the rescuers said.
