A two-day working meeting on Sino-US joint fishery law enforcement was closed here Tuesday.
At the meeting, the two parties reviewed the joint law enforcement in the high seas of the North Pacific in the past ten years and exchanged views on further cooperation. They also discussed a series of issues including promoting training and personnel exchanges.
After a short visit to Shanghai and Zhoushan cities, the US delegates will leave for home on May 23. They arrived in Beijing on May 16.
According to a memorandum of understanding signed between the two governments, China has sent three or four fishery law enforcement personnel to join the United States in fishery law enforcement in the North Pacific every year since 1994.
