China has become the world's No.1 instant noodle consumer, according to information from the 4th World Instant Noodle Summit that opened in Beijing on Wednesday.
According to the information, 65.25 billion packs of instant noodles were consumed in the world last year, of which 27.7 billion were consumed in China, up 6.55 billion and 4.6 billion from 2002 respectively.
China was followed Indonesia, Japan, the United States and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in terms of instant noodle consumption, said the information.
