The first Shanghai-produced camper-trailer was unveiled yesterday at Shanghai Aviation Special Auto Co Ltd.
Divided into two sections, it covers 25 square meters and is equipped with all necessities for a cozy home, including a tub, bed and fold-away desk.
The company plans to output 200 such camper-trailers this year and expects to increase the output to 1,000 a year from 2005.
All of this year's production will be exported to Japan.
The camper-trailer, which has no engine or driving section, must be pulled by another car. It can be pulled into trailer and camper parks and connected to power and water supplies for all the comforts of a home away from home.
