The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has reminded Chinese business people doing business in Iraq to be cautious, according to a circular released on Friday.
The ministry said in the circular that Sino-Iraqi trade relationship had returned to normal since the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1483 on May 22, lifting 13-year-old economic sanctions on Iraq and resuming Iraq's general trade except for weapons and related materials.
However, it is necessary for Chinese businessmen to keep a strong sense of risk control as the current situation in Iraq is not completely stable, security in Iraq can not be guaranteed, and Chinese diplomatic operation there has not resumed, according to the circular.
