Goldman Sachs, American Express and Allianz paid a combined US$3.78 billion for a stake in the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the country's biggest commercial lender, according to an agreement signed on Friday. (Xinhua News Agency January 27, 2006)
