China announced Thursday it would start temporary anti-dumping measures against imported cyclic dimethyl siloxane from Japan, the United States, England and Germany.
China's Ministry of Commerce said in an announcement that it will collect cash deposits from importers of such products as a temporary anti-dumping measure.
The ministry launched the anti-dumping investigation on July 16, 2004. After the investigation, the ministry decided those imported products constitute dumping, with a scope ranging from 13 percent to 35 percent.
Cyclic dimethyl siloxane, a kind of chemical raw material, can be used in production of silicone gel and other products.
