Ping An Insurance, China's second-largest life insurer, had applied for a licence to invest in overseas markets, the China Securities Journal reported Friday, quoting a company official.
Ping An general manager Zhang Zixin said it had yet to receive regulatory approval for its application to become a qualified domestic institutional investor, the report said.
