The Department of Health (DH) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region announced Sunday it had launched a webpage to bring its elderly health service messages right into homes of the elderly 24 hours a day.
Assistant Director of Health, Chan Wai-man, said the elderly health services homepage is "tailor-made for the elderly and their careers to enhance health knowledge on common health problem and to promote healthy lifestyle."
The design and format are geared for the elderly with good color contrast and no flashes. A function on 'How to enlarge the font size' is included to advise those elderly with need to adjust the font size in a user-friendly way, Chan said.
The DH's Elderly Health Services Homepage includes health information, healthy lifestyles, publications, telephone hotlines, and other related Websites.
