China has sent 49 senior officials to study in Harvard University's Kennedy School in recent five years, said Wan Xueyuan, director of State Administration Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) on May 27.
The 49 senior officials all come from governments, financial institutions and large enterprises, respectively. Most of them are officials having been working at ministerial and provincial levels.
Wan said that 12 officials will be sent to receive short and medium term training in Harvard University each year, and so far the training has been carried on for five years.
The training will be conducive to those students for improving decision-making and administration ability, deepening mutual understanding between countries by studying typical cases and methods for government administration of developed countries.
