The presidium of the Third Session of the 10th National People's Congress vote to present to the NPC deputies for deliberation the list of nominee for chairman of the State Central Military Commission (CMC) and the list of nominees for members of the NPC Standing Committee March 10, 2005.
The name of the nominee for CMC chairman has not been revealed, but it is widely expected that President Hu Jintao, who succeeded Jiang Zemin as chairman of the CMC of the Communist Party of China last September, would take over the State CMC chairmanship, Xinhua reports.
