A child has died and 151 others have been hospitalized after a mass poisoning on Wednesday afternoon in a primary school in Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County in Yunnan Province.
A local government source said the cause of the poisoning might have been a home-brewed traditional Chinese cold medicine.
The accident occurred at Hongshiyan Primary School.
The hospital said survivors are in stable conditions.
Investigations are underway.
