China's trade volume of high-tech products totaled US$328.8 billion in the first 10 months of 2005, a year-on-year increase of 26.8 percent, the latest figures from customs show.
The growth was 2.8 percentage points higher than that of the country's foreign trade.
In the Jan.-Oct. period, the imports rose by 20.3 percent to US$157.5 billion, and the exports grew by 33.5 percent to US$171.3 billion, statistics show.
In October alone, the import and export volume of high-tech products came to US$39.1 billion, with the import volume standing at US$17.9 billion, and the export volume, US$21.2 billion.
In the first 10 months, electronic products, computers and telecommunication products are among the top three high-tech products with the largest amount of import volume.
