A bus turned over Saturday morning, killing 25 people and injuring another 24 on board, in Shaanxi Province, according to local sources.
The accident happened at 6:05 a.m. on a highway between Xi'an and Zhouzhi County of the province. The bus, with 49 people on board, turned over and fell down to a river nearby. The bus was owned by Bazhong Transportation Company of neighboring Sichuan Province.
Leading officials from the provincial and city government have arrived at the site to guide the investigation and rescue work.
