China and Argentina celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations in Beijing Monday.
During the reception marking the anniversary, the President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Chen Haosu said the two countries have made much progress in developing their political, economic and cultural relations since 1972.
Relations between the people of China and Argentina have also been developing rapidly, Chen said. He hopes the cooperative friendship will be further strengthened through joint efforts by the two countries and two peoples.
The Argentine Ambassador to China Juan Carlos Morelli said exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have been promoted during the last 30 years.
He expressed his wish that both sides will enhance mutual understanding and friendship in the 21st century.
