Winners of China's Top Literature Prize Announced
Four novels won this year's Mao Dun Literature Prize, according to an announcement issued in Beijing Thursday by the selection office of China's top literature Prize.

The voting for the prize concluded on October 12, the announcement said. One of the prize-winners is "Jueze" (Choose), by novelist Zhang Ping, which has been adapted to a Movie, and has attracted hundreds of thousands of cinema-goers for its anti-corruption theme.

The other three are "Chen'ai Luo Ding" (The End), by Ah Lai, " Chang Hen Ge" (The Ode of Endless Hatred), by Wang Anyi, and " Charen Sanbuqu" (A Trilogy on Charen).

The prize, which is named after Mao Dun, one of the greatest Chinese writers in the 20th century, was launched in 1981 and is issued once every four year.

This year's prizewinners have been selected among 138 literature works published between 1995-98. The prize-issuing ceremony will be held next month in Tongxiang City, the hometown of Mao Dun.
