The issue of protecting and reproducing the giant panda has been a disturbing especially among the zoologists for a long time.
Currently, China has staked out over 60 percent of panda's territory as the reserve zone. However, some reserve zones are not able to maintain the present panda's amount due to the acquired deficiency in their breeding.
It is said that the ecologic zoo of BiFengXia, Sichuan province, is going to clone the giant panda. This zoo is China's first non-state-owned zoo which is authorized the management for panda. They intended to cooperate with Sichuan Agricultural University to further research the breeding and biologic inheritance of panda.
The research will play an important role in saving the panda which is at the verge of extinction. Meanwhile, it is also to provide the valuable experience for studying the gene of other endangered animals.
