Musician Wong Ka-Keung is exhibiting mementos from his late brother, Wong Ka-Kui, to mark the 15th anniversary of his death.
Wong Ka-Keung, who played bass in the four-piece Hong Kong band Beyond, led family members in welcoming fans to the opening of the exhibition Monday at the Cattle Depot Artist Village in Hong Kong.
Items on display include a guitar that band founder Ka-Kui played for 20 years, copies of his manuscripts, and Beyond's original recording equipment.
The exhibit is free, but Ka-Keung considers the items so personally valuable that they are encased in glass to prevent visitors from touching them.
Wong Ka-Kui died on June 30, 1993, days after he fell off a three-meter platform while filming a TV show in Tokyo. He had just turned 31.
Ka-Kui founded Beyond in 1983. The band soon drew a loyal following with such popular hits as "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies" and "Glorious Years."
The Beyond phenomenon cooled following Ka-Kui's death, and the remaining members eventually parted to pursue solo careers.
