London's Royal Ballet will bring its long-running show, "Manon," to Chinese audiences for the first time, as the headliner of the summer performance season at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.
A notable work of choreographer Sir Kenneth MacMillan, "Manon" will run from June 18 to 20, said a press release of NCPA on Wednesday.
Each night, a different performer (Alina Cojocaru, Leanne Benjamin and Tamara Rojo, principal dancers for the Royal Ballet) will play Manon, the tragic protagonist tormented by her conflicting desires for both love and money.
The Royal Ballet will also present "Sleeping Beauty," as well as a collection of classics with all-star line-ups.
