The Information Office of the State Council says more than 45 million people have been affected by the Wenchuan earthquake. The death toll has risen to 68,109. Nearly 20,000 people are still listed as missing, and over 364,000 others have been injured. More than 15 million people have been evacuated or relocated from the quake zone.
Tangjiashan lake: Operation to be completed by June 5th
A total of 34 quake lakes were formed by the Wenchuan earthquake. And 28 of them pose a threat to survivors of the disaster. China has undertaken a massive operation to deal with the situation.

Health Ministry announces plan to inoculate against epidemics
The Health Ministry said on Tuesday that there had been an increase in symptoms such as diarrhea and fever in tremor-affected areas, but no major epidemic or medical emergencies were found. The ministry announced an emergency plan to inoculate the vulnerable population against epidemics such as hepatitis A and encephalitis B.
China Seismological team working to prevent further damage
Accurate information is crucial to prevent further damage from the Wenchuan earthquake. Ever since disaster struck two weeks ago, a team from the China Seismological Bureau has been working at the forefront of relief work. They're monitoring the aftershocks, and assessing the damage and the safety level of housing.
