More than 200 diplomats, including 40 ambassadors, from nearly 130 nations attended a briefing on Tuesday on the decisions made during China's Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, which took place from Nov. 9 to 12.

The briefing, hosted by the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on the afternoon of Nov. 19, introduced the decisions of the meeting and took questions from diplomats.

Sylvie Bermann, French ambassador to China, told China.org.cn she was impressed with China's decisions to grant more market access and lower investment thresholds for foreign enterprises. "The decisions will give new ground and new opportunities for more dialogue and cooperation between China and France." Bermann said. She added China's decision to address social issues, including the change of one-child policy and the abolishment of "reeducation through labor" system, are very positive developments and she now waits to see the measures of implementation.

Dionyssis Kalamvrezos, first counselor of the Greek embassy in China, told China.org.cn that he was most impressed with the strong will of the Chinese government to implement the reform. "European countries, including Greece, expect a big push for reform on the Chinese part.". Kalamvrezos said.
