'Air corridor' connects Qingdao with int'l cities

Five airlines launched services to and from Qingdao in 2013, connecting the city with San Francisco, Singapore, Manila, Bangkok and Taizhong, Taiwan.
In addition, chartered flights to Magong, Taiwan, and Cambodia were also launched this year.
The new Qingdao Airlines also launched the first direct flight between Shandong Province and the United States, with service to San Francisco beginning on Aug. 8.
