E-commerce trade grew substantially in Qingdao in 2013, with an estimated trade volume of more than 150 billion yuan.

Authorities have encouraged businesses in Qingdao to set up online services, including product information, payment options, and IT management. According to authorities, e-commerce now covers almost all competitive industries in Qingdao.

Fourteen companies were also recently honored as “e-commerce demonstration enterprises.”
