Since the beginning of this year, the Shandong government has raised nearly 3.74 billion yuan to improve the transportation infrastructure among seven cities.

This investment will boost the development level of Jinan and its neighboring cities of Zibo, Taian, Laiwu, Dezhou, Liaocheng and Binzhou.

The funds will largely flow to four branches: 1.25 billion on freeway construction; 0.35 billion on the ordinary maintenance of national and provincial roads, mainly for the demonstration project of the Road G205 transformation; 2.09 billion on the maintenance of rural roads; and 47 million on the construction of passenger transport stations.
