According to the report on economic development by Shandong Municipal Government, in the second half of 2013, the government is about to speed up the construction of 100 major projects including projects of the construction of Heze airport, Rizhao airport and Yantai airport, as well as the relocation of Qingdao airport.

There are eight civil airports located across Shandong province, in Jinan, Yantai (under construction), Qingdao, Linyi, Weihai, Jining, Weifang and Dongying respectively.

Other major projects in the second half of this year include the construction of ports, railways and highways and gas supply.
