Vehicles pass through the illuminated Dongshan Tunnel newly-completed at Huainan City, east China's Anhui Province, June 30, 2008. The tunnel, at a total cost of 190 million yuan, has double lines extending 916 meters and a net width of 14.5 meters and comprising lanes for motorcycle, non-motorized vehicle, pedestrians, and maintenance. The tunnel is equipped with complete functional sets of ventilation, illumination, monitoring, and fire extinguishing etc.
