"The power of IT is incredible," says Ken Berg, president & executive director of Charity Navigator, "a company where the heart meets the mind", with the aim of improving philanthropic transparency. Even though the IT industry has made a significant contribution to the development of philanthropy, there is still much to be done. Berg analyzed the existing problems, suggesting that information technology on philanthropy should strike the right balance between "simplicity" and "power" in order to improve efficiency.
Nearly all the guests, including Victor Koo (CEO of Youku.com), agreed that information technology on philanthropy should be "close to individual experience", for example telling true personal stories through video, one of the most effective and powerful ways to build people's philanthropic awareness. Of course, the monitoring system should be reinforced to ensure justice, and respect for humanity.

As for the sustainable development of philanthropy, John Chen, board director and CEO of Sybase argued that the IT industry should not only consider philanthropy as a constant task, but must also "keep it as a part of our nature". Awareness-building always comes first.
As Jet Li said, to realize the ideal of "one family", a kind heart and tough technology are inseparable.
