Five people were killed and two others were injured in a brawl at an arcade center in Chongqing on Sunday night, local police said on Monday.
A dispute between several young men who played in the Milk Way Express arcade center and the facility's manager, Chen Jianjun, escalated into a melee at about 10:30 p.m., said a spokesman of the Chongqing Police Bureau.
More than 20 other people, some wielding knives and batons, joined in the dispute, which led to five deaths.
The identities of the dead have not yet been announced. The police are investigating the incident.
Police also on Monday ordered a public security inspection of all Internet bars and arcade centers in the city.
