Five people were killed and another injured Thursday when a factory building under construction collapsed in the northwest China's Gansu Province, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at 11:10 AM in Shangshawo township, Jingtai county, according to Yang Wanqin, the Party chief of the county.
The rescue team arrived soon and the injured person was rushed to the People's Hospital of Jingtai County within one hour, Yang said.
The identities of the victims are yet to be confirmed.
The case is under investigation, Yang said.
