There seems to be a strange group of young white collars that goes around smashing crispy foods, such as instant noodles and biscuits, in Chongqing supermarkets.
A staff at Carrefour, a major supermarket, said he saw one of the group members smash a bag of potato chips using three fingers at the store recently.
He said the woman was in her 20s and looked rather calm while destroying the packet of chips.
Similar incidents have been reported in other supermarkets of the city as well.
Experts say members of this "group" may be suffering from some kind of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
